I am semi-retired and working on my first book. I write on my phone using Google Keep, then share it to my computer to proof or finish. My favorite place to write is in bed.
I have a huge appetite to learn new things and I like to do puzzles. I’m a positive person who doesn't upset easily and likes to laugh.
The History Of My Blogging
Bekkie In Wonderland started out on Windows Live as a “Space” around the year 2000. I remember thinking Spaces were hot stuff the first time I saw one. Of course it was my very first attempt at a website although I had already been blogging on Tagged.
I started on AOL in the very beginning and it gave me a lot of experience by the time “social networks” started gaining their niche on the Internet. AOL was not a bad place to start they gave you 5 profiles, email and chat. I can still hear; “You got mail!” in that voice to this day.
Before BIW sites like Tagged and Facebook started offering “blogging” so I tried it. At the time when you blogged it just went under your profile, but the bug had caught and I was hooked.
I searched around before settling on MSN and Windows Live. The idea of my own Space online to write on and design was thrilling! Not many social networks I saw at the time offered this.
I’m a big Lewis Carroll fan so I named my Space “Bekkie In Wonderland” and have been happily blogging away since then.
Windows Live made a bad decision in 2009 and decided to drop their Spaces which was the beginning of BIW on Blogger.
Bekkie In Wonderland has a place in my heart after all these years and will remain special to me. Like I’ve been saying all these years; “Keep On Bloggin’!”
